Today’s trappers have a seemingly unending selection of supplies on the market, and it can be difficult to decide what gear and equipment you need to be a successful trapper. In this section, I’ll try to help you navigate through the many choices in trapping supplies on the market today.
Once you’ve made a catch on the trapline, it’s time to skin, flesh, stretch and dry it to prepare for market. You’ll need a wide variety of different tools in the fur shed to make this happen, including skinning knives, fleshing knives, pelt scrapers, a fleshing beam, wood and/or wire stretchers, tail strippers, tacks, and so on.
